Cleansing your gut
Hey, we all nead a good cleanout from time to time. A spring clean if you will. Your gut is no different.
People have been cleaning out their guts for centuries. We have just become unaccustomed to doing it.
Personally, I clean my gut about once or twice a year. There are various ways to do it. You can have a third party stick a hose up your bum, but a more refined way is to drink a potion and let it all hang out from the privacy of your own home. None of it is pleasant in the clinical sense. Don't go discussing this with your new girlfriend, it may be a turn-off.
I once went to a health retreat for 10 days. A pretty good place. Absolutely the first thing they do for every patient ("victim") is get them to do a colon cleanse.
Have you heard of this? Epsom Salts are basically Magnesium Sulphate. MgSO4.
That's Magnesium with four sulphate molecules attached. Not that you care. This stuff is very irritating to the gut. Not neccesarily in a bad way. If you want to purge out the old shit and make way for the new plus stick a bunch of new good bacteria in your colon, this is the way to do it.
You need plenty of water like say 1.5 litres. It's a bit nicer if the water is warm like 30/40 degrees, but room temperature is OK. Add 3 teaspoons of epsom salts. You can buy this cheaply from the supermarket about $5-10 per kilogram. Drink this over a one hour periodand stay close to the bathroom. You will usually purge yourself within the next couple of hours, and you will be in the bathroom quite a bit for a few more hours.
Personally, I recommend following this up with good quality probiotics.
salt water cleanse
This works pretty well too. Just mix up 1.5l water as above and instead of epsom salts use regular salt, but make sure its quality salt such as Celtic or Himalayan. Use about two teaspoons per one litre of water. Follow the procedure above.
Citric Acid Cleanse
Lemon juice is citric acid, but you will need a lot of lemons. Or you can buy citric acid or even vitamin C tablets
There are many other ways of doing this. For example vinegar (you must use the good stuff) or you can buy a packet of Colon Lytely from the chemist or drugstore, usually lemon flavoured, it contains combinations of special salts. The principle is the same.
The colon cleanse is the same procedure that you use for a colon cleanse before you have a bowel scan (colonoscopy). Men over 50 will know what this is. In fact you should be getting a Colonoscopy every few years at least once you are over 40 years old. Personally I always feel better for a few months once I have a colonoscopy. I think this must be getting rid of the old and bringing in the new. It's like a spring clean for your body.
I have had this done about 10 time over about 10 years. It's a bit icky and confronting, costs about $100 or so, and you go to a clinic where a tube is stuck up the back passage. You either do it yourself or an assistant helps you. To make it sound good they call it colon hydrotherapy or some such name. I do recommend it, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
